Squier Vintage Fretless Jazz Bass $248 Zzounds Presidents' Day Weekend

Sign in to disble this ad
Guitar Center and Musician's Friend (Same company), are sending out 15% off single items $299 and over coupons for Presidents' Day weekend. I figured I would send this deal over to Zzounds for a price match on the Jaco model fretless Jazz Bass to see what they could do. They sent me back a quote of $248 shipped. While it only beats Guitar Center by a few bucks, it's a pretty great deal for a bass that, I feel, is under-priced at $299.

Let's see what other deals you guys can come up with using the GC or Musician's Friend 15% off deal through price matching.

Problem I have with GC is that they charge me 7% sales tax, so that drops my discount down. MF is always better for me.
Thanks for the tip on ZZ.

zZounds also has a Rockbass $$ Corvette in natural for $450 normally $850. I was considering buying one and went 98% through the check out process and decided to think about it a little more before pulling the trigger. I woke up this morning with an email in my inbox offering an extra discount if I called them. I called and they offered me another 10% off. Still didn't buy yet but probably will as I really want to check out the passive $$.
To get this offer I had gone all the way through the check out process with the exception of clicking the place order button. Next day I got an email.

Good tip. I just picked up the Warwick Corvette Rockbass Active 5 from Music123.com for $350 and change shipped. I had to go through a similar process to get the discount down that much. At first they only beat AMS by a few bucks, but then after a couple calls and e-mails back and forth I got it down to a more do-able price. My local GC has them on the wall for $800 and wouldn't come down on them when I was in-store. Kinda sad.

I think you posted in the Music123.com thread about picking one up a few months back for even less. Too bad they stopped the 23% price match.
