Squier VM Jaguar Bass Special HB at JR music for $139.97

Just saw this deal on Amazon but it's being offered by JR music. It's for $139.97+8.96 for shipping.

MF, GC, and other big box place may be able to price match this.

Not a bad deal for a starter bass or a decent backup bass.

I submitted to Music123 for a price match. If I can get the sunburst one then I'm in.

Success...they didn't knock much off but 133.97 and you can get 3-tone sunburst or crimson instead of only black.

123 doesn't have that model in Sunburst. Only silver, black, and red. It is the VM HB (humbucker)

Looks like I submitted the price match for the wrong one...but they matched it anyway. So you can get the HB or the PJ from M123. I should pay closer attention but then again so should M123!

I just tried doing it for the regular Vintage Modified one...not the special. Let's see how much attention they are paying

I tried it but fail. But it was weird...the reason it got denied wasn't because I submitted for the wrong instrument but because their policy is that they don't match on items that "have to be placed in the cart to view. I think I'll try again and see who I get.

Well, did anyone get one of these yet. Sadly, California is charging tax for all internet sales now. Still, it's a good deal. How does and active Bass sound as a fretless. I might buy one and turn it into a fretless.
