Sterling Ray34 Honeyburst for $566.46

This usually goes for about $679 on Musiciansfriend. I called up told them Amazon.com (an authorized MM dealer) has this for $576.69 and asked if they would pricematch. After being put on hold they said they did, and also applied 10% of the difference. Total was 566.46, no tax, free shipping. I would have paid shipping with the Amazon order.

Unfortunately, after placing my order I called back up and cancelled, just felt too guilty with the holidays around the corner

Anyway it's a good deal if anyone is looking for one. GC should match this in store as well.

Well I'll one up that and tell you that when I placed my order (2 days ago), Amazon was also offering a free $50 gift card with the order (on all Sterling by Musicman basses). So I got the Ray34 in Honey Burst for $576 and a free $50 Amazon Gift Card which in theory brought the bass down to $526 shipped.

I have to buy a couple more gifts for the kids and one of the things one of my sons wants is on Amazon at a very good price, so the gift card will save me $50.

Oh and the Ray34 is "out for delivery" today, so I'm looking forward to having her in my hands soon!

Yes I did see that and you can still get it Unfortunately if I use Amazon I pay tax. I was actually going to Natural with maple board, but the gift card wasn't offered with that.

So I went back and forth, and decided to sell another bass and get the honeyburst from Amazon. It arrived today. I have to say, Amazon's packing leaves a lot to be desired. The bass was in a case, and in the MM box, but that was it, you could hear it rattling around. Fortunately no damage was done.

Great deal, I got mine last August at a GC sale for $600 out the door. Gotta love holiday sales.
