Just thought I should point out that the "Midnight Blue" Pick guard is essential black. You were probably shipped the right bass. Congrats on receiving it anyway! I'm still waiting on mine... Hopefully the UPS fairies drop it off tomorrow.

I think until the website says otherwise and while the eBay store is still open, you'll just have to keep checking to see what he puts up for sale.

It seems to me like he is finishing a small handful every week or two...and then they go within hours at most.

I really wanted MM. I got JM. I just discovered what I assume is the Mid Knob does nothing. It seems his actives stuff is in a sealed circuit. The bass still sounds very good. I am wondering if the mids are stuck in full on.

I would say that there must be something wrong with yours then, because the mid pot on all 4 of my TBC's works .

So I played the bass some more, I am liking the neck width and depth but is it me or is the radius rather flat? I use to Fender Jazz Necks so I am not sure what I sensing here. I have no idea how he can put these together for this price.

Sounds like 12" radius. Most custom guys these days do same, including Sadowsky.

I received my JJ a short time ago. It spent a week in the shop getting a set up, fret leveling and a Bartolini pre-amp. I played it at rehearsal on Monday and at a blues jam last night. Thunderous tone and very smooth to play. I am one happy bass player....

Think I may have to let my JT400-SS go. Just trashed our powered PA mixer and I may need the funds for that. If I sell, it'll be for my cost.

just got my mm model , whatever he calls it. amazing nice neck. very flat and wide like a 60-62 pbass. needed some fretboard oil, both pups all the way down into body. added some more foam and lifted them and balanced volume better. for $200 the best bass i have ever played since i bought my 71 pbass new for $172. not great quality wood with some dark spots on the top edges and back but clean front. decent quality pups, cheap hardware and circuit. fine bass asit stands, with some upgrade could be a great bass, never mind the price point. I also got a 5 string jj model. I like that body style much more but the mm sounds much fuller/richer and the 4 string neck is a charm. they are a hassle to get one but clearly worth the hassle if you can luck into one.

Today I got an alert from ebay that there are some new listings on their store site - if anyone is interested.

Still $200 + $35 shipped for the 4-string models.

Yeah, that was quick. All five of the 4-strings listed as of last night are gone now...

I picked up a double humbucker and a JJ. Didn't mean to get the JJ so will gladly sell to a TBer once it arrives if Jack isnt able to cancel my order.

Anyone want to trade a jj for a 5 string import MM? Or i'm willing to sell it or trade it for a jazz.
