| | | | Been reading on this combo for the last half-hour, and I like what I’m reading so far. GC opens at 11:00, and if there’s one in stock (15”), I guess I’ll bring it home.
My GK 212MBE “light” cab is now a "light" rattle trap, so this may be my new small-bar rig.
The weight doesn’t bother me, as it’ll stay in the band trailer with all the other heavy stuff that five of us schlep.
Back to reading…

| | | Well, my local GC didn’t have any in stock, but said they could maybe get one from another store but I’d have to pay shipping.
I kinda said “forget it then”, walked around, then went back and suggested they should cut me some slack on the shipping or something, as it wasn’t my fault they didn’t have one in stock. And they had the ad right there displayed.
He said the shipping would only be 15/20$, so I said okay, find me one. He called the Cincinnati store and got me one, shipping only $9 (nine dollars), $383.22 total.
Should be here tomorrow, he said.

Cant even find someone who can recognize a part number for the 210. Someone let me know if you find a 210 any where. I found one but it was used for $499 at a guitar center in Washington. Good luck selling that one.

I did not see a price tag, it might be still there. I tried to lift it up but it was too heavy, so no go for me. I am sure it sounds great as all TC stuff does. |

| | | Well, picked her up and noodled on it for a bit in the music room. Sounds good, all kind of different tones I can get out of this thing.
This is my first bass combo, and it’s kinda cool knowing I won’t have to wire anything, and that with a tuner, and a decent compressor which I’m looking forward to messing with.
Yeah, it’s a heavy compared to my GK rig, and it’s probably psychological, but I feel like I trust it more.
I was going to wait until Saturday night’s outdoor gig to take it out, but I think I’ll take it to tonight's gig, then leave it in the band trailer... I really don't want to lug this thing around.
Maybe I’ll take some gig pics this weekend and do a “NAD” with a review or something later, haha.

I am truly blown away by the capabilities and loudness of this thing. I have a wedding gig tomorrow, and I plan on taking this combo for its maiden voyage. I'll let you know how it all works out! Quote:

| | Registered User | | Join Date: May 2009 Location: Napoleon, OH | | | Drove like 2 hours to Detroit today to pick mine up, I have no patience at all. Came home and played on it for the last few minutes. Here are my early thoughts.
1) Not as heavy as I was thinking it would be. I have owned a few combos over the years and this is about what I remember my Roland and Peavy combos feeling like. Now with that said this is not the new age combo that you can lift with your little finger, but manageable.
2) Great sounds. Easily able to dial in three distinct different tones and saved them in the memory. Sure I will tweak these but they are a good start. One dirty, one fat, and one a little thin and fun.
3) Plenty of volume.
4) At $350 run to your local GC and buy one. I am not regretting this purchase. There is always a use for a cheap combo amp around the house, jam space and some gigs, and this "cheap" combo sounds and feels like a very good quality piece of gear.
5) Not sure I will sell the Bergantino stack just yet, but I am sure it will be a little quiet for a while as I play a little more with this one.

Got home and noticed all the buttons were pushed in and would not come back out. I called all the local stores and nobody had one boxed, after calling out of state stores i found one 120 miles from my house. The store let me bring back the floor model and exchange it with the boxed one. Havn't tried it out yet my bass is in the shop for set up and strings, just bought a mint olympic white mij jaguar. I havn't picked up a bass in 20+ years and am really stoked to play again with nicer equipment than when I was young and broke. I saw this amp a while ago and thought i was nice but expensive for a combo. On sale for $350 you can't go wrong, even if it stays in my house forever.
Sorry for the rant...just excited |
