Seems there's a sale on now on the TC Electronic RS410 (Musician's Friend, Zzounds, Amazon.com).
It's going for $499. That's quite a deal in my books.

Saw the same thing. I'm thinking of jumping on it. Then I was wondering what the guys with the amp brains think of using one of these with an RS 210. MOst of the time, the consensus is that its better to match cabs then to mix them. This case may be a bit different though. I can't imagine what an RS 210 at 8 ohms would sound like with an RS 410 at 8 ohms. 6x10 pushed with a LittleMark 2 head. Whoa.

The TC site says their RH450 head can run up to 3 of their own RS series cabs in any combination. How that works, I don't know. As for running the 210 and 410 from your LMII, I dunno...? It would work I guess since each cab would be getting 250 watts. But would that mean the 410 wouldn't be working that hard? And if that's the case, is it a big deal?
I agree, let's hope some amp/speaker guys chime in.

Good deal dollar-wise but 82 lbs a cab kills it for me. I'll stick w my Epi UL cabs thank you very much!

This is the Thread from the Amps Section of TB. This thread pretty much made up my mind. I don't see adding the 410 to the 210 as an upgrade.
MIxing cabs is bad. Including these two?

The only reason you would want to do that would be the need for more volume with out changing the tone. I can't imagine a 410 not covering most needs.

Hi Youngs,

Thanks for the thread link. My favorite suggestion in there is, if you're looking for more volume (and you already like the sound of the TC RS210), just get another RS210 and stack vertically.
Check out TC's site: http://www.tcelectronic.com/rs210.asp

Or... at the price, buy TWO of the RS410 - giving you 8x10 and likely more volume than you'd need!

Cheers,
Kevin

Yep, a definite drawback these days. I'm currently using a Genz Neox 212T at around 50 lbs give-or-take and it's really easy to get around. For me, 70-80 lbs would be the max I'd want to go.

For some of my larger gig's I'll use the RS410 with a RS212. It just simply fills and kills.
Have used it with a 450 amp and a preamp/poweramp. Either way, it just smoked.
I also have a RS210 but prefer the 212 with the 410.

Nice... so do you primarily run them with a RH450 head?

I just tried that head today into a TC212. VERY nice. I then plugged it into a 4-ohm Genz Neox 212 and it was huge. Looking at the RH450 you'd never guess it would sound so old-school. I'm gonna borrow it and run some more tests. I really dig the idea of the presets for my doubling needs.

Thats still an awesome deal for the 410. Isn't the 210 the same price?

Yes, last I checked. Tempting, huh? I'm now seriously considering that RH450 head, so I have other problems.

The poweramp/preamp is more hi-fi.
I love the 450 when I'm doing a gig and the presets get a good workout.
That was a big selling factor to me.
I've generally used 2 channel head's just for that fact.
Get 3 variation's with the TC.

And the built-in tuner is a cool little feature. Something less to carry.

Why is the RS410 82lbs, where the BC410 is only 59?

Construction and speakers I guess. Does their site say anything?
