I don't think this is an MIA. Look at the headstock, it has the truss rod adjustment notch in it. As far as I can remember, MIA instruments are always at the heel of the neck. Am I right?

Any day now MIM will morph into MINA (Made In North America).

I'd swear that's a serial number under the Fender logo!

Definitely a MIM. Wrong truss rod location, serial number on the headstock, wrong knobs.

From the serial number he gave me it's actually a US model from 1993. I think it's cheap because of the ding and I think it's one of the Jazzes they made with the longer upper horn that nobody seems to want. He said that he has a sale pending on it....

My Hwy 1 P-bass has the truss rod adjustment in the same location.It's MIA.

This is the old "longhorn" Jazz from the early 90's. It was one of Fender's first attempts to modify the original "Jazz" shape--notice the 22-fret neck?

It is indeed MIA.
