I really recommend you try them if you haven't. I've read quite a few reviewers who have tried Elixirs and didn't like them at all, but they really like the Slinkys. To me, they sound like they're a week or two old when you first put them on, and they stay that way for months. And when they go, they go. It's unmistakable.
