Careful with shopping Music123 online.

They totally burned me a couple of weeks ago on a killer deal on a used '57 AVRI. Canceled the order 24 hours after I placed it--with great excitement I might add!! Then when I phoned, the rep said, sorry, the website doesn't update in real time (!!!). You have to phone.

Go figure.

I'm always prepared for the worst when dealing with musiciansfriend and friends

I have an idea what I would like to have a black/birdseye Stingray for. They either meet it or not. Doesn't really matter whether they change their mind earlier or later - in this case.

So who bought the one today? Any disclosure?

I bought one of the Rays after trying to get Music123 to do the match on the phone. They had me on hold so long, I bought one off Amazon, and my boss eventually came by my office and I had to hang up. I did put in an email request, but I still haven't heard some 30 hours later....

I have Amazon Prime, so it arrived this afternoon with an extra $3.99 for shipping. Sweet!

Cool I didn't hear from 123, I don't think it's gonna work. Seems like you didn't drive up the price on Amazon ... yet.

I tried to get zzounds to do the price match and received an email stating that this was one of the rare times that they were unable to price match a competitor.

Woah. ***. I was about to post that you win the thread. But apparently not.

Can you take down the serial # so that we can recognize it if they send out the same one later?

Wow! I saw that deal and almost pulled the trigger but I haven't played a Stingray Classic that was under 10 so that was the deal breaker for me (that and I don't love 7.25" radius). I remember in the late 90's early 00's when you could still find nice light Stingray's but I think them days is done!

They offered 10, I said 20, we agreed on 15% off. Next time I'll start with 30%
Thanks again, you saved me $60
