The whizzy is a 112 as I recall. That is not a whizzy becasue it uses a tweeter and the drivers don't have whizzer cones. They are pretty good about responding to emails re: used gear.

Yeah I emailed them and they said the cab was in excellent shape and it sounds great but when I checked the avg price on these cabs I was a bit surprised at the price they are selling it for.

I know it's not a whizzy, gc has a bad habit of mislabeling items but unless there is something I don't know about these cabs it seems as though it is priced a bit low.

It IS a Wizzy set-up with 10" Wizzy speakers. It IS a 1000 watt 4 ohm cabinet and it IS a steal! GC's got it right.

I have a Wizzy 12M, and those don't look like wizzy cones to me.

Here are the specs.... it says very clearly that they're 10" Wizzy's.

The cones in the for sale ad don't look like the ones you posted; they don't look like Wizzy cones to me.

Yes, I see your point. I'll call John Dong at EA tomorrow and see what exactly they may be. There are EA prototypes that were sold, who knows maybe this is one of them?

Why use Whizzy's and a tweeter in the same cab?

I never saw the cab, but depending on the cab design, wizzer cones can be darkish sounding. I installed a wizzy in a cxl112, and it was noticeably warmer/darker than stock.
