Warwick $$ 5 $810, Brea, Ca GC

Hi

Just returned this bass after about a week, just didn't fit me. It's a 2007 German Corvette $$ 5 string. I bought it "New" on clearance for $810 from the Brea Guitar Center. There are some significant surface dings and dents on the back and the bottom, along with one of the three-way switches being broken. Other than the cosmetic and switch damage, it appears to be in good playing order.

I just returned the bass tonight, so it might not be avalible for a few days, or even that location. Sorry if it's not appropriate to post this yet, but I wanted to let the TBers have first chance on it . Happy hunting.

I was wondering if you has a chance to try the bass out before you bought it. I know trying to hear the subtleties of electronics in a music store can be deceiving to the ears.
I had tried out a Ibanez there with active electronics and when nothing happened sound wise when trying it out I had them replace the batteries- but new batteries did not help- it had some problems to it and some minor dings but at least they weren't trying to sell it to me as new.
Yours may have been "new" but put out on the floor for everyone to try out for ages and thus had problems a true unused bass would not have from Warwick.
Sorry you had problems with it, for me GC is a great place to try out different basses but when it comes time to purchase I go elsewhere because of these reasons.

I had brought it home for about a week. I loved the look and the sound, the neck just was not comfortable for me after 10 minutes or so.
