What types of deals do shops like MF, Guitar Center, Sam Ash, Sweetwater, etc. typically have around Black Friday? Likewise, are there good deals after Christmas time?

It's unpredictable, but has been getting worse in the past couple of years.

The deals aren't after Christmas, but after Winter NAMM when stuff gets discontinued and new stuff introduced.

Typically just your 15-20% off sales (on qualified items). Nothing out of the ordinary. I've learned not to wait for Black Fridays.
