where is the bass player love on Black Friday?

I don;t see any bass deal at GC, am I missing them or do they just hate us bass players?

The ratio of guitar players to bass players is like 1,000 to 1 so the focus on guitar players. No surprise. Actually, there aren't many basses I'd want from guitar center.

Like others, I don't really but much, esp. basses, from GC, but I just got a 15% off coupon from them. I think it's good on anything.

GC does have a 15%, and it does seem to work on the new Sterling by MusicMan basses, Acoustic and Aguilar amps, MusicMan basses a some other stuff. Unfortunately nothing I'm after.

And a 15% off coupon is a pretty routine coupon from them, so not much Black Friday incentives going on there...

Not a lot of bass player love for sure lol When I worked for Guitar Center Santa Clara I constantly kept talking to my boss about stocking more bass stuff. Did have a good amount of bass oriented effects but not much of anything else.

Tuna Man has a thread re Amazon where he puts a bunch a stuff in his cart then waits for Amazon to alert him when prices have dropped. I search for basses of interest there and click on the ones that have no visible price, i.e. click on it and see what the price is. I have gotten some great deals that way and for Amazon in that mode, it might be 11/23 or it might be 12/01, or it might not happen. FYI YMMV

I just happened to catch Gruv Gear's Black Friday sale... Not exactly bass specific I guess, but a little love in our corner. I've wanted to try their Fretwraps for a long time, bit the bullet and ordered a set and saved almost $10 with the sale.

Not sure if it still applies, but last night my GC had two sets of Dunlop 45-105 nickel strings for $20. Great price for nice strings.

Since it's changed hands again, GC and the rest of the sorry tribe has gone downhill even further than it did back when Bain bought it in terms of deals.

The only real advertised deal I saw was a guitar amp closeout and it turned out none of the stores here had them or were going to get them for the sale ("in-store only").

Totally bogus.

Fender 60th Anniversary Precision at GC north Dallas for $999. Good setup on it already and sounds nice. Smelled bad like someone played it with mildew hands. Probably just needs cleaned.

Everywhere seems to have a 15% discount. On Friday, I ordered the Warwick-Rockbass Alien 6. $999 less 15% discount came to $735. I'm really looking forward to this instrument.
