Post Any one willing to translate songs for me

Well basically a local band who i'm friends with have asked me to fill in on bass for a few songs just for fun while there bass player is away on vacation. Hard part is I don't play by ear very well yet because i'm still learning. I do however know all of my chords. So if anyone is willing to listen to some songs and just write out the "notes" for me that would be great. Yes I know I need to learn on my own etc etc please keep all of those comments to yourself.. I'm working on it I swear.. If you happen to be good at this i'm willing to dish out a few bucks for anyone who could help me out. Thanks

Try doing a google search for Bass Tabs. While I do not recommend this ever to anyone( Learn the concepts of music)
In this case on short time frame, this may be quickest for you.

1. The appropriate terminology is "transcribe" rather than "translate." You might want to change your thread title so that you'll get more responses.

2. This thread should probably be posted in the "Tablature" forum, not the "Bass Central" forum which is a forum sponsored by a specific business. You should ask a moderator to move it, as it may not get much of a response here.

3. Why don't you provide a list of the songs you need to learn? People here may be able to point you to existing transcriptions.
