Bass Central Experience

I bought a Fretless Alembic Excel from Beaver a few years ago and it could NOT have been a more pleasurable experience. The entire deal was transacted via phone and email. These guys are very professional and knowledgeable about the gear they sell. I HIGHLY recommend this shop.

I've purchased two basses from BassCentral and each transaction went smoothly. I think I got good deals too!!

I hate Beaver! The guy never ages at all! I saw him two weeks ago after not seeing him for 10 years, and even though he quit dyeing his hair blonde and grew a beard, he looks just like he did 10 years ago, which is what he looked like 20 years ago. Makes me sick!

Bass Central does rock, though. I don't often buy stuff from them, but no denying they're a great store.

I bought a MusicMan Stingray 5 from them and couldn't be happier. They have great customer service and prices. I will buy my next basses and amps from them, no doubt.

Yes, great shop! I've dealt with Perry twice, so far, and both purchases (a bass and a combo amp) went smooth. He took an interest in answering my questions and that's so rare in retail these days.

I purchased my latest Elrick singlecut online through Mike- got a good deal and it's a fantastic bass. When I called up to make my last credit card payment, Beaver answered and literally thanked me for my business at least twice as many times as any other business/person I've dealt with when buying a bass. I keep forgetting to send in this pic for the customer gallery, so I'll post it here. Thanks guys!

Beaver & Grasshopper hooked me up with my Phil Jones Bass P-1 Preamp. Great deal and great experience through and through...I'll be buying more from BC in the future I'm sure!

One of the last times i went to Florida I was able to sneak over to the Bass Central store and check out and play with some very nice equipment. It was a great day in a great place with great people!

You will in Fact get an Extra 5 % off of the normal sales price if identifying yourself as a "TB'ER!!!!! On Most Items in Stock, However Some Manufacturers Mandate Pricing with a Minimum Sales Price so those things would be Immune to the Discount.

I'm lucky enough to live about 1.5 miles up the road from Bass Central, I bought a Fender 75 Jazz RI a month or so ago and the customer service from Mike and the rest of the staff was excellent. When it comes time for another amp or bass or whatever I'm gassing for I know where i'll go.

I live just around the corner from JimmyM, and I buy all my bass related stuff from BC, since Gard was still playing for Rico.

Was just on vacation at Asheville,NC and was going to stop by to see Gard at the Roscoe shop, but SWMBO gave me "the look". Still trying to convince her that I really do "need" an NS 5 string bass/cello.

I think that just about everyone who works there has some chops too, not just Beaver and Dave, who are monsters.

I have purchased a couple of basses and preamps from bass central. I recently was in Orlando and made the trip to the store with my wife and kids and this was probably the most pleasureable experience at a music store I ever had with the family.

Beaver talked to my wife for at least an hour while I looked at basses.Actually because of the hospitality at the place, I think I'll be able to squeeze a couple of new basses before year end!!

I bought an EDEN cabinet from Beaver
I went to the store to check out what they had and bought a 2X12
but I got the 8ohm speakers instead of 4ohm
and you know what?
Beaver mailed me 2 NEW 4ohm 12s and I mailed the 8ohms back
but he did alot to make me happy and it has made in impression on me of amazing service
that was 10 years ago
but it has impressed me that if I ever need anything high end ever again I will go there without question

I had been thinking for a while of adding to this thread when this post caught my eye.

I felt I could give a good (and unique) plug, given my circumstances -- I haven't yet bought from Bass Central, but I feel they deserve kudos.

A couple of years ago on the way home from Disney (I assume they get a lot of to- from-Disney traffic), I made sure to make a special stop. Similar to Pickebass' experience, my family ended up stopping in the store, too. It was Grasshopper and (I think) Gard who kept my family company as I took my time trying out some basses. My kids got stickers and everyone left happy (although I hadn't bought a bass -- I really didn't know what I wanted).

I'll always remember how gracious they were and I have confidence that the whole team there shares the same ethic. A+ folks.

Just ordered a Skyline Duck Dunn from KC and got a terrific price on it. He went the extra 3 miles to work with me.

Can't wait till it arrives in all it's CAR and blocks glory!

I'll definitely remember them next time I'm shopping...
