Here's the problem - the tone knob controls the volume, and vice-versa. Also, the tone opens up by turning the knob counter-clockwise rather than clockwise.
Wha happun?

Sorry Steamthief... I guess someone needs to check this forum more often.
Anyways,
-MIK (Made in ?)
-Are all the pots audio taper, etc...
-Bizarro tone pot(reverse taper)? not sure off the top of my head why...
-Have you checked the wiring against a schematic on Fender's site?
Let me know, we'll figure this out...

If Ohio State makes it to the BCS, I hope LSU (if they make it) dismantles them. Roll Tide!
Anything to contribute regarding my psycho P? And no, I won't put a Tiger sticker on it.

Being a former resident of Ohio and a fairweather Bearcats/Bengals/Buckeyes/Reds fan...
... based on your last comment, I can't answer any further questions.
Roll Tide???
I think not.

STEAMTHIEF:
A Precision wiring scheme is a fairly easy one. If you're still experiencing 'gremlins' I would just take it apart and re-solder the parts, see if maybe there was an errant solder point or wrong lead, etc...
I only say that because it's so quick to wire the P-guts, it would take longer to try to deduce the problem.
LADDER187:
Update as in parts? or setup? Many places have re-issue parts and you can always find stuff on evilbay. Elaborate please.
DAVE MARTIN:
I had an informative chat with the ever helpful Anderson @ Modulus. A backbowed graphite neck CAN possibly be saved. The 'cure' would be to de-fret the neck and shave(i.e. sand) some relief back into the neck. The old heatbar/clamp method would effectively loosen any glue joints, etc., making for a not-so-nice neck. If you are the original owner, this WOULD BE a warranty issue and covered as such! Let me know if you are...
GARD:
TPM!
(Please see the UPS label on the package we just sent to you.)
BTW,
was it ... 'Young gulls, stately lion, immortal porpoises'?
I tried to tell the wife that one and totally screwed the punchline up.
Thanks guys.

| | Without Stain | | Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Mentone Beach | | Thanks, Ed, I'll try re-soldering everything - my previous job was my first, and it's kind of sloppy. If that doesn't work, I'll download a schematic to see what's doing.
And thanks for the advice after I dissed your team. Look at the bright side - you could be a USC fan like me.

..oh, and GO STANFORD!!!
Ed - Lovely, I'm sure it is some scatalogical reference involving "T" and "P" knowing your shipping manager and his anal fixation.
Yes, "young gull, stately lion, immortal porpoise". May the farce be with you, young punwan.

No problem...
I made sure to clarify with the 'fairweather fan' statement... I haven't been an 'active Bengals fan' since the Collingsworth/Anderson era ending with Esiason's trade to NYJets... I actually still have a Jets hat because of that... eeeewwwwwwwwwwwww.
Reds... meh... (baseball is soooo boring when you can't drink)
Bearcats... honestly I like the logo more than the team
Buckeyes... don't pay too much attention but my good friend is a Michigan State fan so I HAVE TO keep that argument going...
Gard-
I think it had to do with you calling him 'nappy'
or something...
The only trouble with un-learning what you have learned is sometimes you may not have learned it right the first time so un-learning what you have not quite learned is a cluster f***...
