Reminds me of my LPB '57/'62 CIJ FrankenP which is staring at me as I type (except gold anodized and no matching headstock). But I'm curious -- without meaning to sound snarky, what makes this a '59? When I think '59, I'd never think LPB, or MoTS, or maple, or matching headstock...

-jb | This has a gold annodized guard now, the pearloid was defective. I listed it for sale a couple times here on TB, it hasn't been getting much gig time, but I have to admit it's growing on me. I don't know what makes it a '59, except Fender listing it that way. It is the tightest quarter sawn maple neck I have ever seen though, and I am a cabinet maker by trade (day job). It's pretty much the same spec as my '62 re-issue. |

| | | | 59 P Bass Hey
I bought this bass from a guy in Toledo. I really like it. Also have a NYC Sadowsky Will Lee, a 1966 Jazz and a 5 string Alembic.
Any particular reason you sold this one?

Alan | It's a very nice bass, I hope you will love it! I sold it because I it's too nice a bass to not be my main player, and I mostly gig on DB anyway. I have an NYC Sadowsky also (another reason I sold the CS, I got the Sadowsky while I was waiting for the Fender). Roger's bass is so well built it inspired me start building again, after a ten year layoff.
But Beaver and Ed were awesome to deal with, I would do business with them anytime.
Best wishes and a happy and prosperous New Year!
