The Big Al pickup switching seems like "close enough" to the game changer for bass.

Good choice, IMHO. I like the gee-whiz factor of the game changer, but all the electronics seems like it will be obsolete at some time when your iPhone no longer supports it or whatever. The Big Al is pure mechanical / electrical switching. I could be wrong, but I think the game changer will be more popular with guitarists. Maybe I'm missing something though.
