Ordered a bass and ship date is now past due

I ordered a custom bass from bass central several months ago and the ship date was 8/31/10. I understand that this is an approximate ship date, however it is now 8 days past the date that I was given. What is going on guys?? The bass I ordered is an EB MM stingray.

What did they say when you called them?

They said that it was going to be arriving anytime. I'm fine with it, the times that I've spoken to them I've had excellent service and I cannot complain about that at all. I think it's just the excitement and build of anticipation of it....mostly because the bass that I ordered is pretty much the thing I have wanted for years, and I have to understand that building a custom order really does take time.

And you have posted this rant twice because? My Sterling 5 was a couple of weeks past the estimated ship date,but I called Bass Central to inquire about its status,and not complained about it here. We cant help you.

I just checked (with MM) and your bass IS on the way here. We'll let you know as soon as it arrives/is repacked for shipping to you. Lefthanded Musicman basses can take a little while longer to build due to them being made in 'batches'... and please everyone remember what the "E" in ETA stands for... "ESTIMATED". Thanks.
