Spector ????

I have a used Spector that I picked up for my son to learn on. After having played it, i found that I like it as well. The action is smooth, and the sound is very nice. I would love to know what model it is but there are no markings other than the Spector name and symbol, and a serial number on the back of the head. How can I identify this bass?

looks like either a perfomer or professional from a few years back. does it have active or passive electronics?

it's a performer series. passive electronics and emgssd pickups give it away. it's the same model i learned on about 7 or 8 years ago... for what they are, they are great.

I picked this up for $200. Any idea what they go for new? I was really surprised to hear how nice it sounds and how smooth it plays. It makes me want to take a look at some of thier other high end models.

i think they used to go for around 350-400 or so, back before they were discontinued. if you get a chance to try a euro neck-tru, check it out. those things rock!
