Bluegrass radio

Hello all my bluegrass friends and neighbors…kinda nice to have our own space…for all of you who enjoy listening to a live bluegrass radio show, our local bluegrass show can be found on the internet. This is local host “Uncle Hank Janney” from Gettysburg PA. He can be heard at: www.wgty.com on Sundays from 6:00am-8:00am EST and again at 8:00pm-12:00am EST. Go to the web site and click on the internet listening. He has a large local following as well as the troop over sea’s listen to him. He is a bit cookey, but plays some good old “moss bucket” tunes. Check it out if you would like…its not satellite or commercial free radio…but it can be interesting.

For those who would like to listen to some bluegrass radio on the internet, point your browser to www.wncw.org on Saturdays at 11 AM eastern time. There you can listen to 8 hours of commercial free public radio hosted by Dennis Jones and Jerry McNeeley. This show is called Going Across the Mountain. Often they'll have folks such as Del McCoury, Mountain Heart, Blue Highway and many many others LIVE in Studio B, over good microphones and preamps and run by a good sound engineer.

Then, again on Sunday mornings at 6 AM (again eastern time) they play bluegrass Gospel music for 3 hours. This show is called The Gospel Truth, and again hosted by Dennis Jones.

Go to the site and look for the Listen Live icon in the upper part of the page. Live DJs actually pulling music as you listen and they also do requests! Enjoy!
