Central Canadian Bluegrass Awards & Fan Fest...

Less than a month away until the Central Canadian Bluegrass Music Awards and Fan Fest which is held each November at the 5 Star Deerhurst Inn Resort in Huntsville Ontario, Canada. This is the Resort that Shania Twain got her big start at.

A scaled down version of the IBMA Awards & Fan Fest this show features Canadian Bluegrass Music & the Bands from Central Canada. We also bring in a couple Top Notch USA Bands and this year is no different with the Chapmans and Russell Moore & III Tyme Out being the Feature Acts for this years weekend.

There are Award handed out for Categories very similar to the IBMA only its Central Canadian Musicians & Bands that receive the nominations and awards.

I'm proud to say our band Traditionally Wound has been nominated in several categories along with the Abram Brothers, Hard Ryde, Foggy Hog Town and many other great bands.

More in line with what used to happen in Lousiville Kentucky the Awards & Fan Fest are all held at the same venue/resort and not spread out which creates an atmosphere for lots of showcase opportunities for the bands and jamming, jamming and more jamming.

Along with that many of the top Central Canadian Bands take the main stage along with the Chapmans & III Tyme Out so there are plently of opportunities to hear great Bluegrass Music.

As with most festivals and get togethers of this nature sleep is optional, the only down side is the trip home is sometimes through a few inch's of snow.

But what a view and scene when you walk outside to that on an early morning after the all night jam. It wakes you up......

Anyway if your wanting some Bluegrass Music and your in Ontario Canada the weekend of November 20 - 22 ya can't go wrong coming to this great event !

Kudo's go out each year to Tony deBoer and the Northern Bluegrass Committee for organizing and putting this on each year !
