Innovation silver slaps

I would like some info. on these strings before I buy them. I play mostly bluegrass.etc. Any info would be helpful. I play the labella supernils at this time. They were the first set I put on after I bought the Engel. ES-9.

Bobby King did a write up about Super Silvers, which are a close relative of the Silver Slaps you speak of.

Super Silvers Review

I know of nothing else personally. They seem to be commonly used by Rockabilly players, so you should try www.rockabillybass.com. Some dude said they had an in depth discussion about them over there.

Also, you should take the time to fill out your profile. It really doesn't take that long, and it would be a boon to everyone, should we engage in more discussions.

i think the Inno SSlaps. are awesome! they play just like guts, almost sound like em... but no constant tuning issues, like guts!! Inno SS are way easy on the fingers,, smooth non bowable strings!! i have used supernils, and they sound good, but once i changed strings, i dont miss the nils!! there is alot of info on here somewhere!! my 2 cents good luck..

i think the super silvers would have a bit more tension than slaps!! i have the slaps and dont have any problem hearing myself throw multiple banjos and fiddles, e.c.t!! whats nice is if you dont like strings you can sell them here so easily!!

Does a guy need to increase string height when changing to a lower tension string such as the super silvers?

?? probably depends on the setup you have now! i actually lowered my strings some. ( i had guts before). an adjustable bridge can help also.. so if you do need to raise the strings some! but since you have nils now.. its probably just fine??
