Jason Moore on a ribbon mic

Morning all,

Aaron's new band, Mountain Heart, (featuring Jason Moore on upright bass) will be on local radio today (in NC) during dinner time. I've educated my northern musical friends that the mid-day meal is called dinner and the evening meal is called supper, at least here in the south.

You can listen on the radio at 88.7 FM on station WNCW. Or online at www.wncw.org If you listen online look for the "listen live" button near the top of the page.

Dennis Jones will be engineering the show and Jason will probably be playing his old Kay over a RCA 74B run through a Grace or possibly a Great River preamp.

They will be on sometime between 12N & 1PM EST, doing maybe 5-6 songs and some interview stuff.

Thanks,

Mike

I didn't realize he was playing with them. That's pretty cool stuff. I saw them in Nashville a year or so ago in a show with Rhonda Vincent. It was a good mix of contemporary and traditional.

I suspect Pop is pretty proud.

I didn't know Dennis had a 74B - those are great little mics for acoustic basses (and many other things).

I bet Dad's pretty much exploding!

That's really cool Mike. Is Aaron coming to Wintergrass with MH then?

If they're playing Wintergrass again. I know they (MH) were there the year we came out with Randy Kohrs when Aaron was playing bass with him. The wonderful Dwight McCartney (regular here on talkbass) was so kind as to allow Aaron to play his New Standard Cleveland.

I do know Mountian Heart will be going to Switzerland and Sweden in early February. Aaron got his passport a week or so ago.

For anyone interested, Mountain Heart will be playing in Athens, GA on Friday night (1-18-08). I'm not sure where, though.
