Is £30 (Roughly 45 Dollars) a fair price for a set up and pickup replacement?

My local guitar shop said they replace my stock pickups for some SD quarter pounders, adjust the truss rod (if necessary), adjust the action and intonation for 30 pounds (45ish bucks). Is this a fair price for what I'd be getting?

I believe so. It may be a little higher than some places, but I don't believe they are ripping you off. Especially if they are replacing the pickups.. Just my .02.

Some shops will charge you that just for the set-up only.
Good deal if your getting p'ups installed as well

If that price includes the seymour duncans. its absolutely a great price. If not (you provide pups and they put them in) its a decent price and very reasonable imo.

That's a really good price. If you know nothing about setting up your instrument or replacing the pickups, I'd say go for it.

replacing pickups is simple same with setting up your bass... do it yourself for free... the pickups are as simple as de soldering 2 wires and then re soldering the new pickups 2 wires in. doing a proper setup is easy too it takes about 20 minutes and a tuner and a screw driver or allen key depending on your bridge. you adjust where the bridge saddles sit so the bass is perfectly in tune at the 12th fret.
