Any idea where can I find pickup screws that are at least 1.5" long? I can only seem to find 1.25" ones at the usual locations, and the Home Depot type stores don't have the #4's that long. The #6's look too wide....
I'm having a heck of a time finding black 1 1/2" pickup screws. bestbassgear.com is currently out of stock. Anyone know of a place? I ordered the only ones that StewMac seems to have but they are too short. Seems to be hard to find the longer 1 1/2" ones. Home Depot and the local hardware stores didn't have anything even close.
I think I have ordered the ones I need. I need #4's that are 1 1/2" in length (and black) - most that I found are 1 1/3" or 1 1/4". The pickups are Dimarzio Ultra Jazz but I think these screws that I need are regarded as "soapbox" pickup style screws. My bass is a MiM Jazz. Anyway, I think I'm good.
Ah crud...just got an email from guitarelectronics.com saying that the black ones are back ordered. I guess everyone gets them from the same supplier and the supplier is out. So...I'm back to looking for the #4 1 1/2" screws in black.
