Question 1979 Ibanez Musican Tunning Peg

Sign in to disble this ad
I had a tuner break on my '79 Ibanez Musican, what kind of tuner do I need to get for it. I got what i thought was an Ibanez type bass tuner on ebay and turned out to be wrong.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...STRK:MESELX:IT

so what do I need to buy? I do not want to spend alot of money, I only need one and don't need anything really fancy.

Post a pic of the tuning pegs front and back, and measure the width of the string post, this will help to get a quick and easy answer for you

Wrong in what way? Post size? Footprint? Yes, pics fore and aft would help.

The old Ibanez Musician tuning pegs were different, even tough they look alot like the normal modern Ibanez or Gotoh tuners.
If you want them all matching you'll have to change the whole set since those originals have not been made for decades now.
