19mm bridge on a 1.75in nut 5 string

Can a 19mm width bridge be used with a 5 string neck that is 1.75in at the nut and 2.7in at the neck heel?

What will be the result?

Thanks!

I can't think of too many issues:

1) If you bend strings a lot, depending on the fretboard radius you could fret out more easily.

2) Depending on the pickups and placement, your strings might not match up with the pole pieces ideally.

Other than those two potential issues, I think it would work.

The nut width doesn't make any difference--you can set the spacing however you want at the nut and still get 19mm (3/4") at the bridge. However, 2.7" at the neck heel (21st fret? 24th?) means that it's probably NOT wide enough at that end for the strings to be spread out to 3" (3/4" x 4) by the time you get to the bridge without them being too close to the edge of the fretboard at the end of the neck.

I've got Bart P4 CBC soapbars measuring 1.25" x 4.65". I don't do to much string bending. I'm trying to get an ideal slap string spacing without the super wide neck that wear me out physically...

Sure thing. The rule of thumb I have is that the overall width of the neck at the 24th fret is about the maximum overall string spacing you can have by the time you get to the bridge. (Of course, it depends a little on how narrow the neck is at the nut and how much extra space you like at the edge of the fretboard, but that's why it's just a rule of thumb and not a formula... )
