4 Hipshots on a Zon - Possible?

I will excuse myself if I am remembering incorrectly as it has been about 4 years, but I seem to recall that on the two four strings I've owned, you could not fit 2 on a headstock in either dimension, except for kitty corner (E/D, A/G). Maybe I'm wrong.

There is certainly not the width, though.

No, that's cool... I have no reason not to take your word for it and I've never tried it. I was just looking at headstock pics and trying to size it out in my head and it seemed like it would work.

Definitely agree on width though.

This is the only picture I have on hand of one of them:



You can see that once you add the lever, there is no way it'll swing wide open without hitting the other tuner. It could open a decent bit- a bit less than a whole step- but then would hit.

I'm pretty sure that was the case, but its been a while.

This thread is relevant to my interests. I was actually about to order four of these devices to retrofit my Sonus 5, but it looks like that is an ill-conceived plan.
