Does anyone make this style pickguard for a Fender jbass? I love the look and think out would look great on my trans orange mia jazz.

If you mean the physical design as per a cut-out replacement, that should not be too difficult if you contact a custom pick-guard mfg and explain what you want.

However if you you mean is an original period composition as well as design; I believe that back in the late 1940's early 1950's the use of celluloid was common, as polymer such as today's plastics either did not exist or were not used in such a item. Celluloid or a nitrocellulose mfg material is difficult to work with and is often very rare in color variety.

If it's a simple issue of cutting the j-bass pup from the p-bass design, you may find a mfg who would sell one with no pup cut-out. That might be the most effective means to get what you want. At that point you simply line it up yourself (& as it would be of modern polymers) cutting out the j-bass opening would only take a bit of time and care.

In fact you MAY find those mfg that way for a custom sized or unique pup. Originally made to have the final user make their own cut-out. A simple Google search on custom pick-guards would turn up quite a few. Buying a very inexpensive one and then the one you'd really want would allow a certain level of practice and fitting before working on a more expensive unit.

Thanks, I have done some research, but have not contacted any manufacturer. I'll look into doing so in the near future, and post a few pictures when I complete the project. Thanks for your insight, and advice!

There is no pickup opening on a 51 P bass pickguard. The guard just ends right at the edge of the pickup cavity, so cutting a J pickup opening is a mute point.
