'62 reissue pickguard on a squier???????

hey guys,

i have question, will a '62 jazz bass reissue pickguard fit onto my squier vintage modified jazz bass? (the 70s one)

From looking at the pictures, it look about right, but im still skeptical and i dont want to spend the roughly $40 on it to find out it doesnt fit.

The Fender 62 RI Tort guard was pretty much a straight drop on replacement on my CV Jazz.

The only tweak I need to do is reposition the control plate closer to the pickguard as there is a gap between the pickguard and chrome plate. Not much of a gap but enough to annoy me... I also have to drill and add a pickguard screw for the hole in the center of the pickguard too.
