8 string bass bridges and tuners?
 

hey guys. I'm looking to be putting together an 8-string bass soon. like a four string bass with octaves strings, not the other option. I'm curious what my options are for bridges aside from the Schaller 471. anyone have any input on this? I've googled it, and I'm curious if there might be any more options than the few I've been presented with.

When my tech converted one of my 4s to an 8, I had him install this:

He was a little nervous when I told him I wanted it strung bBeEaAdD because he thought there wasn't enough travel in the saddles to intonate it correctly. As long as I used a tapered B, everything works fine.

cool. I sent my Warmoth a contact about that email. I'm curious to get some smaller tuners for the octave strings, however. I know Warmoth only has the option for 14mm pegholes on the headstock, though. does anyone know if there any 14mm guitar tuners out there?
