8 String Hardware (Nut)?

Building a custom 8-string headless, 1/2 fretless, extended-range tapping bass. (whew)

Looking for hardware, preferably modular. I'm considering these bridge/tuners, or similar...

Looking for a nut (preferably modular, since 8 strings) that has some of the same features; adjustment for height and intonation.

I've seen this one...

But it looks very tall in the dimension of the length of the string. For me, part of the purpose of going headless is reducing space and weight at that end, and something this large seems counter-intuitive somehow.

Does anyone know of a more compact system for something like this?

Thanks!
