| Aaah, don't abandon the rebuild: You're lucky that the neck is too wide for the neck pocket and not the other way around. If you take the neck and body into a shop, or to any repairman worth his salt, they should be able to sand and otherwise remove material from the neck until it fits the pocket, provided it is high enough from front to back (from fingerboard to the flat part near the neck plate), to suit ther body. Do you have any repairperson who you are familiar with who could do it? At the very least, they should be able to tell you whether the neck and body could be made to fit each other. You could also have the neck pocket routed to be larger, or have the neck filed away, whichever is better for the situation. My instinct says that if you like BC Rich necks, that you should have the neck pocket increased in size rather than modifying the neck. Of course, the repairperson should be able to tell you which is a better idea based on the location of the screwholes and any other factors. Good luck!
