If you are sure that there is relief on one side and not the other, it sounds like it's time to get the fingerboard re-planed. To get the best response from a fretless the board has to start out dead flat - then a little relief can be added by adjusting the truss rod. For maximum mwah, you need very little if any relief, but it must be even from side to side to get consistent singing.
