abg dead spots/excessive buzzing

I have a 5 string fretless, tacoma thunderchief that I just restrung E A D G C last night.

the thing sounds great, except for the high c string! it buzzes like a mofo- almost sounds like a sitar which would be cool if thats the sound i was going for (but rest assured it isn't)

i suspect the action is too low for that string- how can I fix this on an ABG like the thunderchief?

hi Cloren,
first Q new strings are the the same gauge and Brand and type?
that could affect the tension, which in turn could affect the action
is the saddle bridge new,or worn you could try shimming the bridge

I had gotten the bass set-up a few months ago for lower action/less-tension but that was with the bass strung BEADG.

the bass feels like it has more tension even with the lower gauge- probably inpart due to the fact that it's a different brand of strings. I don't mind the higher tension for the most part.

ive never heard of putting a shim on the bridge- could I possibly put a makeshift shim under the C string on the nut instead? I'm thinking something along the lines of using tissue paper.

I know- this isn't something I'm expecting to be very long lasting, or even that effective. I only use this bass for home practice and would like to not replace the saddle if possible.

im looking for a quick fix!
