The end of the strings are sinking into the bridge so they will not stay in tune. What do I do?
Let me explain a little more clearly: the bridge is wood and the eye of the string seems to rest on the exterior of the bridge. The hole which the string passes through has two different diameters. The small diameter is closest to the neck and the large diameter is farthest from the neck. This forms a "well".
Is the eye of the string supposed to sit inside the "well" and stop at the small diameter, or is the eye of the string supposed to rest on the exterior of the bridge? I had a heck of a time removing the string that had sunk into the bridge.
Should I ream the large diameter hole, or what? |
