Action set real high, vibrates when its low

Sign in to disble this ad
Im new to the bass guitar, but I have been playing about 4 months. After playing my bass (Fender Squire) for sometime, and play a bass from the music store, I realize the action is set really high on my bass. I tried to lower the action but the strings would rattle to much, so I had to set the action high again. Should I take my bass into the shop to be re-adjusted?
