Adding a neck pickup to a musicman

Sign in to disble this ad
For those used to resting their thumbs on the neck pickup, the musicman bass would feel a little strange at first.
My first reaction to this was,why not add a neck pickup?

Thing is,This would look out of place in a musicman.
anyone tried this before?

I used to own a Stingray, but I found its lack of versatility annoying enough to return it. I now own a G&L L-2000, which could be compared to a dual-pickup Stingray. The Bongo might be right up your alley if you're looking for a 'ray with 2 pickups, they have a HB/HB and HB/SC model. I wouldn't suggest adding another pickup to a stock Stingray though, as it would decrease its resale value... if you just need something to be where a neck pickup would be, I'd suggest adding a thumbrest.
