Adjusting the action?Help!

I was playing earlier and it seems like my action has just raised up out of nowhere . I didnt do anything that would cause the action to raise.

So what I need to know is how do I lower the action? Ive never done any adjustments before on my bass so should I be a able to do it myself without screwing it up?If I adjust the action do I need to adjust anything esle? Also my bass is a Warwick Double buck.

If you didn't do anything and the action is now different you probably need a little tweak on the neck. Maybe a change in the weather...
