After Market Jazz Bass Control plates??

Sign in to disble this ad
In our never ending quests to upgrade our tools of the trade, I was wondering if there was a company that offers high quality control plates w/knobs for Jazz style basses? I know Audere and East exist but I'm talking passive controls only!

you want a loaded control plate?
youd be better off buying a control plate and a jazz wiring kit or seperate components.

i got a 2010 RI jazz plate off ebay for under $10 shipped.

sometimes there are loaded ones of ebay for passive controls, but they are overpriced.

Yeah! Was just wondering if there was a company out there that specialized in that sort of thing.

not that i know of, a lot of times there are sellers on ebay that part them together, but like i mentioned they can get pricey.

find a control plate you like (fender, allparts, etc.) and load it up with some CTS pots, orange cap, switchcraft jack.

i have a loaded one like that, but its not a fender control plate, came off an SX and its different.

WD music products
Chandler? I think
All Parts.
Mighty Mite? I think...
Shaller???? For black and gold I think...
THeres others.

The cap for ultra vintage can be a mullard mustard cap, "tropical fish" cap or a sprague Blue cap. Sprague Orange drops kinda replaced the fender blue caps. But I think they used..ugh..ceramics mostly..

Theres 2 different kinds of Sprague Orange drops used in audio. 715 and 716
