Aguilar OBP3 on BNF-6

I have a BNF-6 F-Bass passive, without a preamp.
I considered selling it until a few days ago but finally decided to keep it.

I am now thinking of adding an on-board preamp.
Does anyone has any experience installing an OBP3 into an F? Any suggestions or tips in general, before I drill 3 holes in my bass?
