ahh my E string

my E string whenever i play it the makes this weird noise like its hitting on the other strings and frets. its weird what do i do about it.

Is it hitting on the other strings and frets, or does it just sound like it's hitting on the other strings and frets?

Try doing a search for either "string buzz" or "fret buzz" and see what you can come up with. Anyone else that answers will likely tell you the same.

When I picked up my old knockaround DynaBass recently, it had had some neckwork and I found the A was buzzing, but not hitting the frets. Turns out it was hitting the nut. The store had to screw in a wide headed thingy onto the headstock between the tuner and the nut to hold the string down against the nut. Voila - problem solved.

If the string IS hitting the frets, hopefully, you have a height adjustment at the bridge that can raise the string enough to stop the buzzing.
