the parts alone are worth what I got it for. This will provide some much needed material for a pretty cool parts bass after I'm done with it. I've had one of these before and was surprised by the quality of the extranneous(sp)parts like the neck, tuners(Schaller), and bridge (also Schaller). The fact that this one has SD pickups in it is even more of a plus.

Shucks Ham, you ought to be thrown into jail for theft. That's a smart buy. And you're right, even parted out, it's worth more than the price. I tried out one of their aluminum jobs in the `70's and passed. But I couldn't argue with the quality of construction and components. How about letting us know how it sounds?

Crafty! I'll have to keep my eyes open for deals. The pickups alone are worth it.
