aligning bridge pickup

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently bought an SX jazz and love it so far. The only thing that is bothering me is that the pickups are a bit crooked. For the neck pickup I think if i get a good pickguard it should line up correctly but what should I do about the bridge pick up.

i agree. ignore it. it'll sound the same anyway, and nobody will notice it but you.

As long as the pole pieces aren't actually out of line with the strings, it doesn't matter. The audience can't see it.

even that doesn't matter, unless of course it's so off that there are no polepieces under one of the outside strings. but that just plain doesn't happen.

Yeah, postion of the pole pieces is actually not very important. Unless you are noticing a volume difference between strings, don't worry about it.
