Are all jazz plates the same?

I'm am doing my first project where I need to buy a neck plate. I obtained a Geddy Lee jazz body and need to get a plate. I keep seeing different plates on the bay like vintage '62 and 2000 jazz plates. Are they all the same???

You do have to pay attention to whether it's a 3-bolt or 4-bolt...there's probably someone more expert than me, but I believe that Fender bass neck-plates, once you differentiate between 3-bolt & 4-bolt, are interchangable.

And...make sure you get a bass neck plate...the ones for guitars won't fit.
