Am swapping my bridge for a Bad Ass 1, Anybody know the dimensions of these bridges

Hi,

I will be swapping my bridge very soon for a Bad Ass Bridge , I have seen that there is a Bad Ass 2 and 3 but the Bad Ass 1 looks sturdier. Anyway I was wondering if anybody knew the dimensions of this bridge or failing that if anyone knows the dimensions of the Bad Ass 2 bridge. The reason I am asking this is that the bridge on my bass has the screws on the outer four corners rather than along the middle like most bridges and I want to swap the bridge but I am worried that the new bridge may not cover the holes from the old bridge, Thank you for any info you may have

BA-I = 3 1/8" X 2"

BA-II = 3 1/4" X 2 1/2"

Hi Lug, Thank you for the reply I really appreciate it, I take it those dimensions are BA-I = 3 1/8" across X 2" vertical

The BA 1 bridge is very tall, depending on the type of bridge you have on the bass now you will most likely have to have the body routed to use it with reasonable action.

Maybe I should go with the BA2 then, what do you think?

The BAII can definately get lower action than the BAI. The demensions are the 2 sides that sit flush to the surface of the wood with the wider side being parallel to the frets.

Darn I've just measured my bridge and its 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" , looks like I'm gonna have to find a slightly wider bridge to cover the holes from the other bridge
