Ampeg Baby Bass

Moderator(s) Let me know if this belongs in Acoustics.

My name is Rolando I have a few questions concerning the baby bass, maybe you can lead me in the right direction if you don't know the answer.

My baby bass body is beginning to come apart at the neck nothing major around a 1/2 - 3/4" but I want to know if there is a known repair that would eliminate the spread.

Also the fingerboard extension curls up alittle on the bottom end over the body. It has a trussrod adjustment but can't seem to make it work. Looks like a specific tool was used to adjust it.

Any suggestions

It would be a good idea to get that bass to a qualified luthier, Rolando.

The fingerboard extension "ski jump" syndrome will most likely be curable with some judicious fingerboard planing, but the separating body could be indicative of needing a neck reset. You should get it checked out by a pro, IMO.

Thank You, I'll look into it and see who I find in my area.
