Another headstock crack thread.

I know this has been covered to death but:
This is a Fender Jazz Bass with a hairline crack that goes down to the tuner bushing, but not all the way through to the front of the headstock. Should I worry about this? I was told it won't be a problem, but I just wanted to get someone else's opinion/experience. Thanks! Here's a closeup:

Doesn't seem to be a crack i could spread open to inject glue in.

Hi.

IMLE it's not much of a problem as You can't really do anything to it, just as you guessed.

What I'd be more worried about, is that same kind of cracks will probably form in other areas too, as that looks like a classic case of unseasoned wood being used. Usually the contracting wood cracks because of the tight ferrule though, not on the other end of the hole.

Just out of curiosity, what are those two small deep holes for anyway?

Can't be for the worm strap rivets, can they?

Regards
Sam
