Another squier bass question about Classic Vibe

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey everybody, here's another question about squier basses. Will a warmoth neck fit the squier classic vibe p bass. If it doesn't it's fine with me because i'm not having any problems. In fact, it's just as good as an american p... maybe better, seriously! I'm just used to playing a bit thinner neck and I believe a Warmoth slim tapper jazz bass will do the trick. Again, if not no big deal (this bass is just that great), however I think I'd like it more with a custom j bass neck. Thanks in advance!

No, have you had good experience with their customer service? I was hoping that somebody here may have tried it...

Yes I have, and the customer service was top-notch. Can't remember the guy's name (this was close to five years ago), but the CSR was really helpful.

We get a lot of threads about will this neck fit on this bass...

Fender necks are pretty standard size. The many companies that plagiarize Fenders follow their size, too. So IME it's pretty easy to swap one for another.

To definitively answer the question, it would really help if people would use a tape measure first before posting.

For the OP, the other question is the shape of the neck pocket. Is this 60s or 50s CV?

All Fender bass necks are interchangeable, with the exception of any of the square-heeled necks and those models with 22 fret necks. Even 3-bolt and 4-bolt can be swapped with some reworking.

Im more interested in how the neck feels etc rather than if it fits (seeing as i have a different bass to the OP).
I hear a lot about these necks and fancy getting one but being here in the UK its going to be a bit of a gamble.
I know it will fit but i dont know how it will feel, and what the slim tapper bit means compared to a standard jazz neck.
